The 2026 Women’s Asian Cup final will take place at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, as announced by officials on Thursday. The tournament is set to commence in Perth on March 1, with the host nation leading off the action.
Featuring the region’s elite 12 teams, this three-week event will unfold across five venues, spanning the Gold Coast, Sydney, and Perth.
Stadium Australia, which boasts a capacity of 83,500, will also be the venue for two quarter-finals and one semi-final. Meanwhile, the other semi-final is scheduled to be held at Perth Stadium, which accommodates 60,000 spectators.
“The announcement of the match schedule for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 is a thrilling milestone as we progress towards hosting this esteemed tournament,” remarked Football Australia chief James Johnson.
“This tournament transcends mere competition on the field – it serves to unite communities, celebrate our diversity, and create a lasting legacy for the advancement of women’s football in Australia.“
Australia experienced record crowds during its co-hosting of the Women’s World Cup alongside New Zealand in 2023.
To date, Australia, China, Japan, and South Korea have secured their places in the tournament, with the final roster to be finalised in July.
China will be looking to defend the title they clinched in 2022 after triumphing over South Korea in the final held in India.
